Speak Your Mind

I am an Indian and I like to voice my opinions candidily in a very brutal fashion. For me freedom is the most important virtue on this planet. This blog can contain any type of views on anything.

One More Musing
So one more age old adage has joined the list of deceased. I’ve blown the air out of cliché that the situations can’t be bad than this. Yes, they can be worse, yes my dear friend they can be. There exists no phenomenon called hitting the rock bottom. When you start falling down, you can go on & on, without reaching any end. You travel through the cursed hollowness like the chatter of Shekhar Suman. Here I would like to caution the reader that I am not getting too much negative. Its just that I am talking about some facts of life which are, unpalatably, blunt & stark.
All the path breaking observation which have been talked above can be easily compared to the rise of a person or for that matter any entity. Like when you start progressing, you move on & on, breaking old barriers, setting new standards & leaving the people agape. You feel that sky is the limit & incredibly, it is. Mankind has demonstrated over & over all these years & centuries that you can reach any height, you can desire anything & you can do almost everything. So like you can ascend to a peak from where you can see a higher peak enlightening you that the journey of success is never ending, always pushing you to a new & exciting point. You can also descend to the darker than the darkest depths thus coming across the worse than the worst circumstances, thus getting inflicted with the severe most treatments & conditions.
We can easily draw a parallel from the current quagmire of USA in Iraq. In the pre-war period, its designs were supported only by a handful of nations, thus, opposed by the rest of world & that fiercely too by powers like Russia, France & Germany, thus, giving a considerable blow to its plans. After that, US found its face red when during war Saddam Hussein managed to sneak out of US hold engineering another famous & great escape a la Osama. And adding injury to the insult, US & England have failed comprehensively to find even a bolt of the much touted WMDs. And now in the post war Iraq, the coalition forces are putting up against more hostile conditions than those of war days. And if we study statistics we can get more clear & moving picture. The American troops which were earlier being killed in numbers like 2 or 3 are now attaining martyrdom in double figures at once. He recent chopper shoots & blasts are fitting examples to this.
All the above stated facts prompt me to proclaim that there is nothing like worst case scenario or ideal scenario. However tough & near impossible targets you set for yourself you can always perform better than you expectations & imagination. In same vein, however fool proof back up plans you have, how many systems you have in places things can go wrong in most unexpected circumstances. So whenever you conclude that things are on the lowest ebb & it doesn’t get worse than this, you are wrong. You haven’t reached the stability yet. You are either still nose-diving or, if you arte fortunate enough, you are back on the track in correct direction. As in the journey of life there are no assuring stops, only brief halts.

The Company of Woman
Here I am observing a new change these days. People are probing me more about my female companion. More often than ever, e-mails from friends, conversations with pals & acquaintances have a brief but stressful mention about my girlfriend.
Well, the delicious irony is that, fortunately or unfortunately, I don’t have any girl friend. But I wonder now, that my old decision to avoid serious liaisons with fair sex, which is still a norm, is a wise one or not. The way people ask me “Haven’t you found out one yet?” or “Why don’t you have any girl friend?” stirs my tranquility to a very little extent but it does. Sometimes I fear that I may find myself in the shoe of ‘Debashish Chatterjee’ of ‘Mumbai Matinee’, though in a different manner. But I know perfectly that this is an empty fear which is just an engaging fantasy not a grim reality.
When we talk about my relationships with the female species of mankind over the years, it is like looking through a multi-colored Kaleidoscope. Though I have known a good number of girls all these years & even today I am in touch of couple of them but the fairy tale ends here. Though a staunch believer in quality myself I have come across as a quantity conscious person in this matter. The result is that all of these of my adventures have been limited to the demarcations of friendship, never crossing into the wonderland of love affair. Though I got few chances to do this but either I failed to understand the signals or the other party was not interested when I was. So all this have finally culminated today into my surprisingly single status.
However, all this doesn’t mean that I am stranger to all the sweet components of a love affair. I’ve eaten out with girls. Danced with them, visited placers with them etc. the only thing which I haven’t done till now is sex. Theoretically, I am still a virgin (I can see some frowns) and going to enjoy this bliss till my marriage.
But hey, I am not discussing my non-existent sex life here. The issue in light today is my single status & my female connections till now.
I’ve observed one particular & strange phenomenon in my case. That whenever I start girl-hunting or try to pick a particular chick I met with failure. But whenever I ignore this matter absolutely, girls start flocking around me like butterflies. See, all this is pure Vedanta. When you run after a materialistic thing, it runs faster than you & you get it only after much labor. But when you start working without caring too much for results & consider work as you natural duty, when you ignore worldly pleasures that is when you attain each & everything on the planet without asking for them.

Another Musing
Every person has her own set of strengths & weaknesses. The reason for the failure of the most persons is that their weaknesses overshadow & dilute their strengths. Most of us fail due to lack of drive or motivation, commitment, passion, a burning desire or whatever you would like to call it. Actually, it’s like this. You have only one or two problem areas which mitigate all your positive traits & efforts. They expand like a balloon belittling the latter ones. And this entire phenomenon is nothing but an illusion & deception, which takes place due to our ignorance, lack of awareness & negativity. We just need to give a deep thought to all this, thus enabling us to identify everything clearly & visibly.
But the story doesn’t end here. In fact, the whole fight starts here. After recognizing this clear & present danger, the next step is to accumulate the complete knowledge about the weakness(ess) & then, launching offensive against it/them. But again, this step doesn’t allow you to be lenient & careless. The old devil won’t give up easily. After loosing first battle, he will come back like Mohammed Gauri. So you need to be on constant vigil, practice caution and be on your guard every moment. You have to fight tooth & nail against these demons, only this can assure a great victory. But make no mistakes; I’ve deliberately not used the phrase ‘permanent/everlasting victory’ in place of great victory because there is nothing permanent. So even after winning this war you must continue your vigil against any negatives, forever.
One more thing, merely eliminating evils wont be fruitful, you also need to intensify & increase your strengths.
